The Perspectives Project is an ongoing experiment in combining video, agency and film to share and experience diverse perspectives of some of the most polarizing topics of our time. Sign up to be notified when of new perspective projects!
Perspectives Project was created with one intention--gaining perspectives from people, remembering our humanity, and building the muscles to listen to viewpoints (differing, alike and new) to have discourse on topics of our shared time. According to Otto Scharmer, co-founder of the Presencing Institute, "discourse requires a system to see and witness itself."
Dena Wiggins, MBA is a believer in the possibility of humanity to heal ourselves and our planet. A part of healing to to see, feel, hear and witness ourselves and others, especially people with different views and people whose voices have been unheard for many reasons. We are human beings who believe in learning from and with other human beings, not just the ones who look, think, and hold the same beliefs as us. We believe in creating ways to get all voices and perspectives relative the emergent topics of today requiring new ways of being and integrating to understand the whole.
Our approach is to move beyond quick reactions to the spaciousness of responding. We seek to use videos and facilitation techniques to see, hear and witness the humanity in ourselves and with others. Our intention is to have a library of emergent conversation starter videos made by the people for the people.
Why not us? We are all the change-makers that we seek. We offer one of many emergent tools to cultivate conversations that matter; that liberate and show the path of uniting with our differences in tact.
